Mario and Kirby looked up at the great ship in the purple sky. As the clouds grew darker, small purple balls began to rain. Mario reached his hand out and touched one. It had an odd texture. It seemed to be comprised of millions of tiny, tiny creatures all moving around in unison. But what was more odd was how it reacted to his gloved hand. It seemed to try to spread out around his hand, first covering the tip of his fingers. As it reached down and left behind the tip, Mario saw that the areas that it had covered were turning back to trophy form...
Mario shook off the substance as quickly as he could, and breathed a huge sigh of relief as he saw his hand returning to normality. He wasn't relieved for long though. The tiny purple balls began to group together, and now they were forming a solid substance. As it took form, Mario could see the shapes of strange, doll-like humanoids. Some of them were even holding weapons, and as soon as they formed, the began walking in unison towards Mario and Kirby.
They did not hesitate to act. Mario, hurling fireballs all around him, noticed that in the corner of his eye, the Princesses had stood up. Zelda used her ability, Farore's Wind, and quickly teleported onto the main platform to join in. Peach too made her way to the platform, floating over using weak magical abilities of her own. Soon the four of them were fighting their hardest, combating Primids who wielded swords and boomerangs. And the battle went on with no end in site, newer creatures began to join. One of them was a cloud creature Kirby called Spakk, which shot balls of electricity at them. Zelda took her of them in her own way, using her ability of Nayru's Love to reflect their bolts back at them. After what seemed like hours, the ranks finally began to thin, but the fighters found themselves exhausted.
The giant airship began to fly away, but from it came one last obstacle. A small floating blatform descended from the airship, and riding it was a small green entity who was completely covered by a green robe. Hanging from beneath the platform was a great sphere, along with several small, strange robots.
"Who are-a-you?" Mario demanded.
"You may call me the Ancient Minister," said the entity. "Unfortunately, you will not have very much time to call me that."
At first the words seemed completely blank in tone. But as Mario thought about it, there seemed to be a hint of something more. Almost... emotion.
He did not have time to ponder on this, though, as the platform dropped the sphere it was carrying, along with the two robots. The robots plugged their hands into the sides of the sphere, and it extended into two halves connected be a thinner bar, containing a small blue sphere as well as a timer below, displaying a 3 minute countdown. Mario walked up to approach this, but suddenly found himself flying in the air, struck by a cannonball.
Kirby looked in the direction of the cannonball and saw a gigantic bipedal plantlike creature. In its arms it held two cages, and within them were the princesses.
Wasting no time, Kirby jumped into the air and swung his large Hammer at the creature's head. Screaming in pain, it swung one of the cages at Kirby, barely missing. That gave Kirby an idea. The creature leaped into the air, trying to land on Kirby, but this time Kirby was well prepared and dodged the blow with ease. Frustrated, the creature once again swung with one of the cages. Now was Kirby's chance. As the cage came by, he sidestepped out of the way, then quickly grabbed on to it. The creature desperately tried to shake Kirby off, but it could do nothing against the puffball's iron grip. Left with only one option, the creature brought its hand to its mouth. It had been given direct orders not to hurt the princesses, but its dim mind supposed that its master would not mind if one of the princesses was lost at the cost of another of their enemies.
Little did it know that this was exactly what Kirby had planned. As he approached its mouth, he leaped off and used his Final Cutter, damaging the inside of its mouth with the uppercut, and twisting in midair to chop of the hand holding the cage Kirby had just grabbed onto using the downwards slash. The combined blows were simply too much for Petey Pirahna, and it collapsed to the ground, defeated.
Kirby gazed at the cage he had just knocked away. Inside it was Princess Peach, and though weary looking, she did not appear to be hurt very much. As he helped her out of his cage, he heard a thud. Turning around, Kirby and Peach saw a very fat man, slightly resembling Mario, standing in the center of the platform. The man, whose hat bore the word "W", for his name Wario, approached Princess Zelda, who was still getting out of her cage. In Wario's hands was a huge object that looked like the head of a dragon. He seemed to pull a lever on the object, and Kirby saw it shaking as though it was charging up. Finally, in an instant that felt like forever, a black arrow-shaped beam shot out, hitting Zelda. The Princess dropped to the ground, trophyfied. Before Kirby or Peach could stop him, Wario dashed over to Zelda's trophy, grabbed it, and jumped away from the stadium, laughing.
The Star Warrior suddenly heard a beeping noise behind him. To his shock he saw that the strange sphere dropped by the Ancient Minister only had a few seconds left on its timer. Whatever was going to happen at the end, it was not going to be good. Knowing he only had one strategy left, he grabbed Peach's hand with one of his hands, and held his cell phone in other other. Tightly gripping Peach, he jumped with her off the stadium platform, just as the timer hit zero. As the pair drifted away in Kirby's Warp Star, they saw a massive black hole explode out of nowhere, consuming the stadium...
