:It certainly isn't significant, if an actual controversy at all. It's not that much of a controversy in competitive play, yes, but there have been my fair share of that issue as well in casual play(luckily all were in my favor). It's not that often in casual play either, but it can mean a world of a difference under unusual circumstances, such as if a Bom-omb detonates on you and your opponent(s) and one gets Screen/Star Koed and the other gets blasted off to the side or vice versa. It's no biggee, Mr. Anon if you stated that. The page mentions how Zelda in Melee and Roy in Ultimate's star KO screams just send chills down your spine, but who else feels the same way with Fox's in Ultimate? I didn't want to add this to the page unless I knew a lot of people agreed, but I thought I'd bring this up.

Honestly, who thinks Star KOs should be banned? VenomDarkfyre (talk) 11:15, 13 July 2011 (EDT)

This is not appropriate talk page discussion. Mr. Anon (talk) 11:16, 13 July 2011 (EDT)
Not to mention you could not possibly "ban" a form of KO. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 11:23, 13 July 2011 (EDT)

Gah. Sorry about that. My first attempt at one of these and it goes to the toilet. There is significant controversy regarding this form of KO, but it doesn't happen that often which it decides a match.VenomDarkfyre (talk) 21:02, 13 July 2011 (EDT)

It certainly isn't significant, if an actual controversy at all. It has been noted that when two or more people are KO'd around the same time, someone getting Star KO may unfairly decide the match, but it really doesn't have an impact, as it rarely, if ever, shows up (especially in competitive play). Also, SmashWiki is just a reporter of facts, not a decider of the rules. As such, if you were looking to get something banned, the Smash Back Room would be who you bring it up to, not us. Omega Tyrant TyranitarMS.png 22:09, 13 July 2011 (EDT)

Oh, no no no. Personally, I like Star KOs. What I meant by then ban was mistaken(I should have found a more appropriate phrase). What I meant was that little "controversy" I keep hearing of. I've noticed around my area that people are falling for the said issue we are discussing. I was merely trying to get to the root of the problem and help put it to rest. This is not a relatively big problem.VenomDarkfyre (talk) 23:48, 13 July 2011 (EDT)

In that case, I was the one who brought it up in the first place. There have been I few matches that I have played where the difference between a screen and a star KO is enough to alter who the victor is. I assumed that this was a well-known "controversy", and originally put it in the article. My appologees. Mr. Anon (talk) 00:01, 14 July 2011 (EDT)

You are right in that respect, even though how unusual it is, but it shouldn't be taken lightly because it is a very important matter in its own right.VenomDarkfyre (talk) 21:50, 14 July 2011 (EDT)

That "5 seconds" Star KO limit[edit]

It broke. Not sure how it happened, but it broke. You can hear Toon Link's Star KO sound at like 2 seconds. Kirby's Crazy Appetite ~ KirbysCrazyAppetiteSig.png 17:44, 28 October 2016 (EDT)

For one, you don't need a | in links. Secondly, it might be because of the End of Day. I'm not sure. AidanzapunkSig1.pngAidan, the Spooky Dragon WarriorAidanzapunkSig2.png 18:15, 28 October 2016 (EDT)
