The Epita Smash Arena was a French Melee tournament held in April 2007 by Poilon and the SSBUP, held within the Epita school. ESA was extremly well received by almost every smasher attending it, due to its excellent organization. Most players who attended it consider it as the best European tournament ever. This extreme popularity explains the high umber of players who want to attend ESA2, its sequel in February 2008.

The Epita Smash Arena was a French Melee tournament held in April 2007 by Poilon and the SSBUP, held within the Epita school. Epita Smash Arena was well-received by most smashers who attended the event, due to its excellent organization compared to previous tournaments; some players even considered it to be the best European tournament in competitive Melee history. This extreme popularity led its sequel, Epita Smash Arena 2, to receive 231 entrants, making it the largest Melee tournament ever hosted in Europe at that time. Reception to this tournament, however, was not as positive as the initial installment. Three more "sequels" to the event were later hosted, though none attained the number of entrants as the first Epita Smash Arena or its immediate successor.
