Undertow 2024 was a major Project+ and HDR tournament held in Sandusky, Ohio, on September 6th-8th, 2024. It was an unofficial side-event for Riptide 2024.

Ellipsis' victory marks the first major won by a Mr. Game & Watch player since MrLz at Smash 'N' Splash 2, eight years prior. He defeated top threats such as Morsecode762 and ORLY, as well as narrowly beating Shiny Zubat in the Grand Finals reset. This tournament also marks the highest placement for a Yoshi player at a Project M/Project+ major, with Shiny Zubat placing 2nd, as well as Olimar's first top 8 at a Project M/Project+ major, with ~CP9~ finishing 5th.
