For example, if you run into an article that claims "Smasher Y once won a ''Brawl'' tournament over their region's #1 ranked player using Ganondorf" and you find the fact dubious as stated, insert <nowiki>{{fact}}</nowiki> at the end of the statement - i.e., "Smasher Y once won a ''[[Brawl]]'' tournament over their region's #1 ranked player using {{SSBB|Ganondorf}}<sup>''([[SmashWiki:Citation|citation needed]])''</sup>." This puts the onus on the editor to back up their information and provide a reference, per [[SmashWiki:Citation]], to verify that the information in the article remains factual. Any outright misinformation or particularly egregious claims that aren't backed with a source should just be removed from the article, however, rather than being tagged with this template.
