The biggest upset in pools was on #3 seed Light, who was upset early on in bracket by #67 seed AppleWiz 3-0 (upset factor 10). Outside of Light, most of the other top 8 seeds went through the first day and top 64 unscathed aside from #5 seed Kola, who was upset 2-3 by #37 seed JMafia (upset factor 5). Top 32 saw #4 seed Shuton lose 2-3 to #13 seed MuteAce; he ultimately faced and defeated Light in Losers 3-0, knocking the Litvitational 2 winner out at 17th.
