Outside of Light, most of the other top 8 seeds went through the first day and top 64 unscathed aside from #5 seed {{Sm|Kola}}, who was upset 2-3 by #37 seed {{Sm|JMafia}} (upset factor 5). Top 32 saw #4 seed {{Sm|Shuton}} lose 2-3 to #13 seed {{Sm|MuteAce}}; he ultimately faced and defeated Light in Losers 3-0, knocking the {{Trn|Litvitational 2}} winner out at 17th. In addition, Kola lost to #21 seed {{Sm|Anathema}} to place 25th.
