Gavin, formerly known as Gav and Nova, is an American smasher. He began playing on Kaillera in 2009 when he was completely new to the game, but over time he learned and improved greatly. He is not a very technical player but makes up for it with his good spacing and the ability to read his opponent well. In 2018 at console tournaments he took sets from ReefyBeefy, Birra, B33F and the controversial Studstill, among others. He was formerly ranked 1st on the Georgia Power Rankings for 2019. In 2023 he attended Super Smash Con 2023 and placed 97th. For the year of 2023 he also defeated NTA, at a tourney in Georgia and defeated XyamiZ, at Clemson Smash Series 40, the player who ended up winning the event.
