Kagaribi is a Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournament series held in Tokyo, Japan. It began during the COVID-19 pandemic in December 2020, and as such, some of the series' early events (namely, Kagaribi 1.5 and 2) were cancelled. The series resumed with Kagaribi 3, which became the first major event since the pandemic began, and the series gradually grew in the next few years to become the most prestigious tournament series in Japan in the post-pandemic metagame. The series' events regularly reach their entrants cap within minutes of general registration opening.
