- Major placed first in the Ganon Gauntlet singles bracket for Ultimate.
- The tournament was not named after the player in actuality, despite him living in the same region.
- Cody Schwab's first place finish in Melee singles marks Counter Logic Gaming's first major Melee tournament win.
- The organization was announced to be sold off the day afterwards, and Cody Schwab was dropped three days after the win.
- This tournament marked FatGoku's final event as a competitor, as he had previously stated his plans to retire from competition in Melee singles afterwards.
