gav, formerly known as Nova, is an American smasher. He began playing on Kaillera in 2009 when he was completely new to the game, but over time he learned and improved greatly. He is not a very technical player but makes up for it with his good spacing and the ability to read his opponent well. He is currently ranked 4th on the Georgia Power Rankings. In 2018 at console tournaments he took sets from ReefyBeefy, Birra, B33F and the controversial Studstill, among others. In 2023 he attended Super Smash Con 2023 and placed 97th. Also defeated NTA, 2-1 at tourney in Georgia and defeated XyamiZ, 2-0 at Clemson Smash Series 40, the player who ended up winning the event.
