- Curiously, none of the Fatal Fury spirit battles feature Terry as puppet fighters, making the series one of the three playable universes to not feature all playable characters from the series in their spirit battles with the others being Mario and Final Fantasy.
- With a total of 5 spirits, Fatal Fury has the least amount of spirits among the DLC universes in Ultimate, although it shares its Spirit Board with the other SNK universes.
- All Fatal Fury spirit battles have reduced jump power and are in Stamina Mode (excluding Kim's), similar to the Street Fighter spirit battles.
- The Fatal Fury franchise is the first set of DLC spirit battles to not have its respective fighter appear in a spirit battle.
