While Xerneas is on the stage, everyone's launch power will increase. This will make opponents with even a small amount of damage easier to launch. The player who summoned Xerneas will get the biggest power boost.

Xerneas (ゼルネアス, Xerneas) is a creature from the Pokémon series.

Origin[edit]

Xerneas using Geomancy in Pokémon X and Y.

Xerneas is a Fairy-type Legendary Pokémon that serves as the version mascot of Pokémon X, and is categorized within the Pokédex at #716 as the "Life Pokémon". It is a member of the Aura trio of Kalos along with Yveltal and Zygarde. Legend says that it possesses the power to bestow eternal life.

Geomancy is Xerneas' signature move, which is a Fairy-type move that only Xerneas can learn naturally: after one turn spent charging, it raises the user's Special Attack, Special Defense and Speed by two levels each.

In Super Smash Bros. 4[edit]

As a Poké Ball Pokémon[edit]

Xerneas using Geomancy in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS.

Xerneas appears as a Poké Ball Pokémon in Super Smash Bros. 4. Because it is a legendary Pokémon, it can also be summoned by a Master Ball. When summoned, it uses its signature move, Geomancy; this causes all players' attacks to have increased knockback, though the summoner is affected by this boost more than the other players.

In both versions it must be unlocked by completing a specific challenge before being able to appear:

As a Poké Ball Pokémon[edit]

Xerneas using Geomancy in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.

Xerneas returns as a Poké Ball summon, but with changed attributes. Geomancy now only affects the fighter who summoned it, and the summoner now turns golden for the duration of the power boost. A resulting 1.66× damage multiplier for standard attacks, a 1.75× damage multiplier for special moves, and 1.5× knockback multiplier are applied. Oddly, throws are not affected by the damage multiplier, and projectiles are not affected by the knockback multiplier.

Xerneas cannot be summoned on Arena Ferox, Balloon Fight, Brinstar, Corneria, Dream Land GB, Find Mii, Golden Plains, Jungle Japes, Living Room, Magicant, Onett, Pac-Land, Peach's Castle, PictoChat 2, Reset Bomb Forest, Spirit Train, Super Mario Maker, Suzaku Castle, Tomodachi Life, Tortimer Island, WarioWare, Inc., Wrecking Crew, nor Yoshi's Island.
