Trivia[edit]

  • Uniquely, unlike other character-swapping alternate costumes, neither Zombie nor Enderman have fighter spirits, and they are only represented as primary spirits.
  • Most of the artwork of the mobs can be seen in the Official Minecraft Magazine, the official website and in the front cover of the game's boxart and other promotional materials.
  • Notably, the Piglin, which is represented in Smash as a support spirit, was added into Minecraft after the announcement of the Fighters Pass Vol. 2, and the announcement of piglins at Minecon Live 2019 was after the announcement of more DLC fighters past the initial Fighters Pass. They were, however, partly based on the Pigmen, an unused mob and its zombified variant, the Zombie Pigmen, that were present in Minecraft since 2010, before being replaced by the new "Zombified Piglin", which acts virtually the same in-game.
  • The Villager & Iron Golem spirit is the only primary spirit from Minecraft that isn't present in-game as part of Steve's alternate costumes or as a Mii costume.
    • However, the villager itself does appear at the background of Minecraft World alongside zombies and endermen, making the Iron Golem itself the only primary spirit from Minecraft who is only present in-game via the DLC spirit board.
  • Villagers are the only passive mob from Minecraft that have a spirit on Steve's spirit board; all other spirits on that board are either neutral mobs or hostile mobs.
  • Minecraft, ARMS, and Final Fantasy are the only universes introduced as DLC to not have all their spirit battles use songs from the universe (not counting Fatal Fury, whose songs from non-Fatal Fury series are still grouped under Fatal Fury in the Sound Test).
    • Coincidentally, those three Spirit Boards were all introduced as part of the Fighters Pass Vol. 2.
  • Abra cannot appear on the Minecraft World stage normally, but appears as part of the Enderman Spirit battle.
  • Despite appearing in the background of Minecraft World during the Night Cycle, the Spider mob does not appear as a spirit.
