for the record, the reason why i objected to that trivia is because
Inkling was the only newcomer to be in the panoramic group artwork when it was first shown off in the E3 2018 Direct, due to being the only newcomer revealed at the time.
i just don't think this in particular is really noteworthy - the reason why it was the case was really obvious (and directly mentioned right there) and it's just an example of something that was true for a certain amount of time but was never going to be permanent. as to the second
Inkling is one of two newcomers (the other being Ridley) to be in a veteran's gallery on the official website, specifically Young Link's.
if I'm being honest I feel less strong about this on (in part because every veteran has been revealed, so it's probably going to be more permanent), but this is kind of a similar case. The only reason this is the case is because SSB never includes unrevealed characters in others' galleries, and it just so happens that with Ultimate the ratio of veterans to newcomers on reveal was especially lopsided. i just don't think this is trivia that is anything really of significance to Inkling as a character, but just a consequence of SSB Ultimate and how it was revealed if that makes sense. --174.92.43.183 00:26, 18 October 2018 (EDT)

Red Links[edit]
There are multiple red links of unmade pages in here with titles like Inkling/SSBU/Final Smash. I propose to you all that we should turn them into the basic pages. I have done said activity, but i'm just one squidkid. Smash Squid (talk) 20:14, November 11, 2019 (EST)
- You are incorrect; they will eventually be links to subpages for each individual move. Please see SW:MSP. Toomai Glittershine The Free 20:16, November 11, 2019 (EST)

- To elaborate a bit more, this was discussed in the past (entries 3 and 30 here), and the consensus was that the default gender should be preferred over "they" and "them" (at least on game-specific pages). Roller "tech" in Moveset[edit]
I take issue with this sentence:
Interestingly, if Inkling hits a grounded opponent and cancels the move by jumping during hit stun, it will do regular diagonal knockback instead of burying, which can at times be beneficial for setting up offstage pressure
I deleted this on a previous run-through because I could not reproduce it in frame-by-frame testing. I suspect it happened to the tester because Inkling was in the non-burying "slowdown" portion of Roller, rather than anything to do with jumping during hitlag. Even if it were true, it's trivial enough to compress into the previous line, i.e.
If the target is already buried, Inkling is airborne, Inkling jumps during hitlag, or the Roller is moving too slow, it will apply ink but knock the opponent upward instead of burying them.
but until someone shows proof I'm deleting it again. Designless Square (talk) 13:32, October 10, 2020 (EDT)
