Event Match 4: Dino-Wrangling is the fourth of the 51 Event Matches in the Event mode of Super Smash Bros. Melee. It is a non-timed stock match between your character and one single, gigantic Yoshi in the Yoshi's Island: Yoshi's Story stage, with you having three lives to KO giant Yoshi's one life.
Dino-wrangling is the 4th event match of the 51 event matches in Super Smash Bros. Melee.

This is one of three event matches that take place on the Yoshi's Story stage; the others are Event 10: All-Star Match 1 (the third of the five battles) and Event 35: Time for a Checkup.
The player controls a fighter of their choice and must win a stock match against a giant CPU Yoshi on the Yoshi's Story stage, where the player starts with 3 stocks, while the giant Yoshi starts with 1 stock. When the match starts, the player will spawn at the leftmost soft platform while the giant Yoshi spawns at the rightmost soft platform. Due to Yoshi's massive size (being even larger than a regular Yoshi under the effects of a Super Mushroom), he is very heavy and strong; however, his increased weight coupled with his low artificial intelligence level means that he will often self-destruct within seconds of the event's start.
After selecting Event 4 from the Event mode menu and selecting your character, the match begins with you playing against a super-sized Yoshi on the Yoshi's Story stage. Your character has 3 stock and Yoshi has one stock. The object of the match is to KO Yoshi in no particular time limit.

This event match is notable because you have multiple chances to KO what should be a far stronger and harder-to-KO opponent than yourself. The increased size of Yoshi is a double-edged sword to him, however; while giant opponents in general pack more punch and take more damage, Yoshi will be made extremely easy to hit with many types of attacks, and due to both the increased dimensions of Yoshi and his movements, his erratic AI, and the small size of the stage, he may occasionally jump/slide right out of the arena to his doom.

Perhaps the easiest way to defeat giant Yoshi, as with any large character, is to send in Jigglypuff and use its Rest B-Down move to send Yoshi flying out of the arena in a very short amount of time. You can easily get records of less than 00.52 of a second this way. It is mainly because of this that this is considered a very easy Event Match. (Sometimes he may just walk off the edge because he's so stupid.(That's how I did it) whatever's in brackets is by markkk) Also, Peach is a unique choice for this event. Get to the middle platform and make sure Yoshi's head in directly underneath it. Perform her Down Smash and Yoshi's percentage will rack up exceptionally fast. Also use her Aerial Down A (If your really good at this, levitate above Yoshi and do Down A multiple times) and Parasol. Basically just use attacks that keep your enemy trapped for multiple hits. Also, make sure that when you have high percentage, dodge Yoshi's smash attacks or use Toad. (Also good for multiple hits.) Peach section edited by, yours truly, Smashing Peaches.

Dino-wrangling is the 4th event match of the 51 event matches in Super Smash Bros. Melee.

The player controls a fighter of their choice and must win a stock match against a giant CPU Yoshi on the Yoshi's Story stage, where the player starts with 3 stocks, while the giant Yoshi starts with 1 stock. The event match features no time limit. The CPU Yoshi's artificial intelligence is set at Level 5.
