'''Event Match 2: Lord of the Jungle''' is the second of the 51 [[Event mode|Event Matches]] in the Event mode of ''[[Super Smash Bros. Melee]]''. It is a two-stock match between the player's giant [[Donkey Kong]] and a tiny Donkey Kong.  
The player controls a giant {{SSBM|Donkey Kong}}, who must win a 3-minute, 2 [[stock]] match against a tiny [[CPU]] Donkey Kong on the {{SSBM|Kongo Jungle}} stage. It is the only event match to take place on the Kongo Jungle stage. The tiny CPU Donkey Kong's [[artificial intelligence]] is set at Level 7.


This is the only event match that takes place on the [[DK Island: Kongo Jungle]] stage.
When the match starts, the giant Donkey Kong will spawn on the lower left of the main platform, while the tiny Donkey Kong spawns above an elevated platform. The size disparity can make the event match more difficult than expected, as the tiny Donkey Kong can easily avoid attacks and use the giant Donkey Kong's large hurtbox as an advantage. In addition, the giant Donkey Kong is handicapped on both knockback given and received, with the CPU receiving a defense buff of their own. The tiny Donkey Kong uses the red costume, likely because the giant Donkey Kong uses his default costume.

After selecting Event 2 from the Event mode menu, the match automatically begins with you playing as Giant Donkey Kong vs. Tiny Donkey Kong on the [[DK Island: Kongo Jungle]] stage. You spawn on the lower left of the big center platform while Tiny Donkey Kong spawns above on an elevated platform. Both combatants have two lives in stock. The stage has a 3:00 time limit for completion.

The object of the match is to KO Tiny Donkey Kong twice. This match would appear to be a joke level based on how much the match is in your favor based on your power and size and your opponent's lack thereof, but the AI, jumping tendencies, and tiny size adds up to an opponent that is rather easy to miss with strong hits.

==Strategies==
This is not a tough Event match in terms of the probability of losing, but it will seem tricky to win because your strong attacks and grabs will miss at times because they are too high while tiny DK is too small if both are standing on the ground. To properly attack tiny DK, use low attacks and your [[B down]] or your [[forward smash]] (Forward A) smash move when both are on the ground. If tiny DK is on one of the middle platforms and you are on the ground, you will be able to use your charge-up B move to blow him away. You can use some of other Donkey Kong's moves on your enemy while he is in the air. The three-minute time meter should not be an influence if you know which attacks connect when.
