The player controls Link and must win a stock match against a CPU Ganondorf on the Temple stage. Link is joined by a CPU Zelda ally. The CPU Ganondorf's artificial intelligence is set at Level 8, while the CPU Zelda ally's artificial intelligence is set at Level 7.

Link and Zelda/Sheik team up to fight Ganondorf. The player is Link and your teammate is Zelda, who aids you with fighting Ganondorf. Link has a few powerful attacks you can use against Ganondorf. Attack Ganondorf with Link's projectiles and use items to get his damage up. Draw him near the edge and use Link's B up attack. Zelda will help you damage Ganondorf too. Ganondorf has two stocks so watch both Link and Zelda's percentages. If Zelda dies, the event match is over.
When the match starts, Link will spawn on the left side of the center of the stage, while Ganondorf will spawn on the topmost platform and Zelda will spawn on the right side of the stage. Link and Zelda will start with 1 stock while Ganondorf will start with 2 stocks. If either Link or Zelda is KO'd, it will result in a loss.

Also, by completing this Event Match, you face Ganondorf again, this time solo, if you haven't unlocked him already. Defeat him once more to unlock him.
If Ganondorf has not already been unlocked, completing this event match will trigger another battle against Ganondorf, where defeating him will unlock him.

But Link and Zelda got Super Smash Bros BRAWL after Luigi-SSBM (Austin) got Super Smash Bros BRAWL for his birthday on October 15 2008. Link (Jacob) could have no drawing time at the end because he and Zelda (Jace) had more wrong answers and the correct ones were less. Then
Link (Jacob) said "To unlock Ganondorf- Beat the Event 29- Triforce Gathering" and said it over and over the next day as he and Zelda (Jace) worked with Meagan. Meagan said "I will wait, Link until you are done then we will get back to work". But Link (Jacob) said it over and over. He went on and on saying "To unlock Ganondorf- Beat the Event 29: Trifore Gathering". But he stopped and Meagan told Link (Jacob) that both Link (Jacob) and Zelda (Jace) both got more answers wrong than correct answers so she said " And it wouldn't have
been any drawing time". Link (Jacob) is not allowed to talk to Jace about: Dinosaurs, The Magic School Bus, Nintendo, Comparing people, and The Lost Formulas (the M&M's video game).

Event Match 29: Triforce Gathering is the 29th event match of the 51 event matches in Super Smash Bros. Melee.

If Ganondorf has not already been unlocked, completing this event match will trigger another battle against Ganondorf, where defeating him will unlock him.
