8.0 Skewer technical information[edit]

As of 8.0.0, Skewer no longer grabs or finishes opponents with grab immunity. Skewer has a new hitbox that is identical to the normal sweetspot hitbox, but outprioritizes the hitgrab hitbox if the opponent has grab immunity. This no grab hitbox does not transition into the finisher of Skewer.

Both hitboxes have identical frame data, size, and placement, but differ in some specific details.

The non-grabbing sweetspot hitbox has 100 Knockback Growth, 20 Fixed Knockback, and 0 Base Knockback, has a 0.0 Hitlag Multiplier, and plays no sound effect at a soft volume.

The normal sweespot hitbox has 30 Knockback Growth, 0 Fixed Knocback, and 50 Base Knockback, and has a 0.6 hitlag multiplier, and plays the cutup sound effect at a loud volume.

The grazing (sourspot) hitbox is unchanged by the ungrabbable state being active or not, as it doesn't grab, anyway.

That move has 50 Knockback Growth, 0 Fixed Knockback, and 30 Base Knockback, and has a 1.0 (default) hitlag multiplier, and plays the cutup sound at a soft volume.
