All-Star Match 4 (オールスター戦4, All-Star Battle 4) is the 40th event match of the 51 event matches in Super Smash Bros. Melee, and the fourth of five All-Star Matches. The All-Star Match gameplay is unchanged; like its predecessors, the player must defeat five different opponents in 4 minutes and with 2 stock. Their damage percentage is carried over between each match.

In this edition, the player fights Marth in Temple (with Fire Emblem alternate music), Luigi in Mushroom Kingdom II, Jigglypuff in Poké Floats, Mewtwo in Final Destination, and Mr. Game & Watch in Flat Zone. It should be noted that this is the first All-Star Match with unlockable characters. The reason why Mr. Game & Watch is fought as the last opponent is because he is the last unlockable character that all players will unlock.
