Reflector is Fox's, Falco's and Wolf's down special move. When used, the user creates a blue, hexagonal shield which deflects any projectile from any angle, with the exception of Final Smashes. It can also be used to damage enemies in close proximity to the user when activated. If this shield deflects too many projectiles in one use, it will shatter, like a normal shield, and leave the user stunned. In Brawl, it was revealed that the shield originates from a small device the user carries. How it is used and its effects depends on the user.
Character Differences
Fox
When used by Fox, the reflector is created around him. He can also keep the Reflector activated for extended periods of time. His Reflector can also be used for Shine spikes, a deadly edgeguarding technique. Template:Specialmoves
Falco
When used by Falco, he kicks the device away from him as it is activated. Falco's reflector also has lower offensive power than Fox's. Template:Specialmoves
Wolf
When used by Wolf, he creates a shield similar to Fox's, but he creates a pink, elliptical shield, instead of a blue, hexagonal one. It does less damage on contact, but it adds invincibility frames. This lets him negate some Final Smashes and attacks that normally outprioritize the Reflector (for instance, approaching a Zelda with a Reflector negates any of her high priority Smash attacks). The hit also makes the enemy open for other attacks Wolf has in his arsenal.
