The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters.
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted.

Luigi's back throw.
  • Mario: Spins with the grabbed opponent some circles and throws them. Can KO.

Notable back throws include:

  • Ness' back throw, arguably, has the farthest knock back of any throw in the game and can kill opponents at low percentages.
  • Donkey Kong's back throw in Brawl is also very powerful in terms of knockback and isn't much weaker than Ness' back throw.
  • Mewtwo's back throw is similarly powerful, acting as one of its best killers.
  • Dr Mario's back throw is more powerful than Mewtwo's and can damage other enemies during the throw animation.
  • Luigi's back throw in Brawl is very powerful, similar to Dr. Mario.
  • Mario's back throw mimics how he threw Bowser in Super Mario 64
  • King Dedede's back throw, the most damaging at 16%
