Pokémon Change is Pokémon Trainer's Down B move. It switches between his three Pokémon - Charizard, Squirtle, and Ivysaur. If Charizard is currently in use, he will switch to Squirtle. If Squirtle is in use, he will switch to Ivysaur. If Ivysaur is in use, he will switch to Charizard. Using this move too often or too little will result in the Pokémon's stamina being drained. It seems that the switching cycle always starts with the least-evolved Pocket Monster. It is not known if all Pokémon must be KO'd to score against the Trainer, or if only one needs to be knocked out (Similar to Popo and Nana), though their shared damage meter suggests the latter.
Pokémon Change is a move performed by Pokémon Trainer by using his Down Special Move. This move allows the Pokémon Trainer to swap out his current on-stage Pokémon to a different one. When switched out, the current Pokemon tags the next in the trio, who then continues fighting. The Pokemon still share the same damage meter, but they also have a new special stat, called Stamina. If a Pokemon is on the field too long, or they are switched out too often, penalties occur, such as slower movement and weakened attacks.
If one Pokémon is KO'd, Pokémon Trainer will summon the next Pokémon in rotation to the revival platform.

The order that the Pokemon follow when Pokemon Change is used is as follows: Squirtle, Ivysaur, then Charizard. If Charizard is on the field when Pokemon change is used, you will switch back to Squirtle.
