Technically it does link to his userpage, so it's not a policy violation.

It's wrong on my talk page, but it works on Talk:Clay Shooting. He must've fixed part of it but not all of it.

Also, you were a little harsh with the initial reminder considering it's a pretty legitimate mistake for someone who just joined.
