As an aerial normal attack in Brawl.

The Mario Tornado is the name given to Mario's Down B. His down B spins him around in a circle rapidly, and can be used for recovery as well. To do this, press Down B in the air, and rapidly keep pressing B. The player should gain a good amount of height if they have medium-fast fingers. To test if they are getting good height, use it on the ground. If they can double jump after the tornado, they are doing it well. It is a multi-hit attack, and the first who hits don't stun (phantom hits). The frame data is as follows:

Damage Info

Total: 79 Hit: 8-9, 12-13, 15-16, 18-19, 21-22, 24-25, 27-28, 38-39

In Brawl

Mario's Down B has been replaced with F.L.U.D.D.. A screenshot of the Tornado is shown with the accompanying caption: "He still seems to have this move, though. Eh? Is it a normal attack?!" Although still speculation at this point, it is likely that his tornado has become an aerial A move since he is only seen doing it in the air. Since his previous Fair, Uair, and Nair have been shown already, it is more than likely that the move replaces his old Dair. Template:Mario Smash Template:Mario Melee
