Smash Summit is an upcoming national Super Smash Bros. Melee invitational tournament to be held in Los Angeles, California on November 5th-8th, 2015 by Beyond the Summit, a company known for their Dota 2 coverage. Singles, doubles and side events will be hosted. It is an invitational tournament, where 10 of the world's top players were invited to participate, along with 6 players who will be selected from a player donation poll organised by Smash.gg. The tournament will be held at the Summit gaming house, a private residence, and so is not open to the general public.

Player voting

From a selection of roughly 40 players, 20 of them were voted in by fans to engage in an elimination round where, by a certain date, if a player did not receive enough votes, they were eliminated and thus did not receive an invitation from Smash Summit. In later rounds, the players who received the most votes were invited in addition to the eliminations. The following players were among the 20 that were eliminated or invited by round:
