Overview
PictoChat is a Super Smash Bros. Brawl stage based on the Nintendo DS software. In the beginning, the stage consists of a flat stage. As the match continues, pictures are drawn in. Some have different effects, like a face that blows wind at the players or a roller coaster track with a moving car.
PictoChat is a little sketch-and-chat software with wireless functionality that’s built into the Nintendo DS hardware. When you first start on the stage, it will be flat. However, it will change shape as you continue fighting. For example, some terrain will be drawn. A face may appear and blow, causing you and your opponents to be blown off the stage, or a railcart may appear which you can ride on for a bit.

The drawings will disappear after a few seconds, causing another one to appear. When playing this stage, the music from the Mii Channel, Wii Shop Channel, Pictochat, and Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day will be played.
The only static platform is a "now entering" notification that seems to change as the game progresses, presumably whenever a player respawns.

It is also indicated that the available background songs will be:

*"PictoChat" - PictoChat
*"Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day" - Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day
*"Opening Theme (Wii Sports)" - Wii Sports
*"Dr. Mario (Melee)" - Super Smash Bros. Melee
