Miles? One question

Hey.
I replied to you here. This is in case you are not watching the page anymore. Serpent King (talk) 22:44, 27 June 2015 (EDT)
- In case you are not still watching it, I gave another suggestion (Miiverse (universe)). Serpent King (talk) 09:00, 18 July 2015 (EDT)
TITT
The reason for the speedy deletion was "lulz", which is NOT a reason, Miles. Also, Sparky created TITT as a test for creating pages. TailsFan (talk)
- It's not even close to appropriate mainspace content. Please review Help:Namespaces. Miles (talk) 01:57, 29 June 2015 (EDT)
Idk how to 0_o ITS JUST TOO HARD FOR ME AND SPARKY! (The creator of the TITT comment, just too lazy :|)
- Just use two more </font> tags. Miles (talk) 14:06, 29 June 2015 (EDT)
- I dont understand. Where do I put them? Sparky (Talk Smash to me!)
About Cubone and Dugtrio
Sorry about that. I was thinking that we were talking about the game not the stage -_- Apologies Serpent King (talk) 18:58, 29 June 2015 (EDT)
What's the difference between vandalism and constructive edits/requests?
Apparently, there's no difference according to you. 65.49.14.144 20:37, 29 June 2015 (EDT)
Length of ban to those who only did one or two piece(s) of vandalism.
Like what would your criteria be for a week block compared to a month block for a user who vandalized? Dots (talk) The Wii 23:15, 4 July 2015 (EDT)
- There's not really a fixed criteria, I suppose. I usually just block for what seems appropriate. Miles (talk) 23:29, 4 July 2015 (EDT)
Advice
When I eventually mainspace this, where should it go? should we make a 3 level subpage? Serpent King (talk) 21:59, 6 July 2015 (EDT)
- Probably overkill to do that. Would "Debug menu (SSBM)/Stage data" work well enough for you? Miles (talk) 22:13, 6 July 2015 (EDT)
- Yeah, that would work. Serpent King (talk) 22:32, 6 July 2015 (EDT)
- Are my descriptions redundant, as many can be clearly seen in the images? Serpent King (talk) 22:06, 10 July 2015 (EDT)
- Yeah, that would work. Serpent King (talk) 22:32, 6 July 2015 (EDT)
Vidracova
Is a repeat offender who keeps getting lucky at vandalizing at just the right time (when no Admins are on). I have undone his edits many times, and left a notice on the admin board, which was ignored. Serpent King (talk) 21:24, 7 July 2015 (EDT)
- Miles just now took care of them. Bulbaboy (talk) 21:26, 7 July 2015 (EDT)
- I saw, just explaining that this is no first offense. Serpent King (talk) 21:30, 7 July 2015 (EDT)
- Second time he's been blocked, and for longer. My apologies if I missed an adminboard notification. Miles (talk) 22:32, 7 July 2015 (EDT)
- Did not mean that as a slight on you, I only meant that he's been getting away with crap Serpent King (talk) 22:42, 7 July 2015 (EDT)
- Second time he's been blocked, and for longer. My apologies if I missed an adminboard notification. Miles (talk) 22:32, 7 July 2015 (EDT)
Recreated page
CouldRainZero just recreated his page in the mainspace that you deleted yesterday. After you delete it again, will it be possible to protect it from further recreation? Berrenta (talk) 13:39, 9 July 2015 (EDT)

Upload new sounds
How do I upload new sound files to here? Arthur1124 (talk) 13:59, 11 July 2015 (EDT)
- .ogg audio files can be uploaded through Special:Upload, just like images. Keep in mind that only certain pages really warrant having audio files, though. Miles (talk) 14:30, 11 July 2015 (EDT)
Well...
I have created a template as you may have saw, that auto-formats trophy descriptions for use on individual pages (I've used it here, for example). Problem is...there's a lot of work in this. I was wondering if I couldn't get your help on this. Serpent King (talk) 08:15, 18 July 2015 (EDT)
- I personally wouldn't use a template for that. There's enough pages where the trophy sections will be better off being formatted on a case-by-case setup to make it kind of impractical. Miles (talk) 11:28, 18 July 2015 (EDT)
- I disagree. I think you'll find that my template is very flexible. You do not have to have images for one thing (you can add them to the bottom like in character pages). If you do have images, I have made it so you can have them on the left or right, and their size can be changed. Serpent King (talk) 15:34, 21 July 2015 (EDT)
- Among other things:
- Only works for SSB4 trophies, creating inconsistency with Melee/Brawl trophy sections.
- Uses North America and Europe flags, when the text of "NTSC"/"PAL" is in my opinion preferable.
- Wii U trophy image defaults to 150px, when the 3DS images are only 128px. Inconsistent.
- Doesn't address the issue of pages with multiple trophies that we'd want to format differently (see Princess Daisy).
- Would require manual implementation across hundreds of pages, not by bot.
- Minimal demonstration that this is demonstrably worth the time and effort needed for implementation.
- To be clear: I do appreciate the effort that went into making this template. I just see too many issues to find it worthwhile. Miles (talk) 18:51, 21 July 2015 (EDT)
- It works for melee and brawl too...just use the image parameter instead of the image-3ds/image-wiiu parameters and set "game" to "melee" or "brawl".
- Why?
- They both default to 150px.
- The template does not break if no image is included, so this is a non-issue.
- No arguments here. This would be a lot of work.
- The idea is to make trophy sections more consistent. The ones we have now often lack images or PAL descriptions. This project I want to embark on also serves to fix this. Serpent King (talk) 21:11, 21 July 2015 (EDT)
- The examples you give on the template page itself make no mention of Melee or Brawl compatibility, FYI. Also, with the 3DS trophy size, the image itself is 128px; check the image itself. Are you saying you can't see how the 3DS and Wii U images aren't the same size? These are just some of the things that are making me feel hesitant on this. Miles (talk) 10:55, 22 July 2015 (EDT)
- Oh, ok. I thought you meant that I had messed up the template default sizes. Serpent King (talk) 11:29, 22 July 2015 (EDT)

Edit summaries
Could you try to be actually helpful in your edit summaries? Just saying "nope nope nope" without any further discussion is kind of annoying. If you actually say why you're removing it, people might be more likely to take you seriously and you'll look less power-mad. ---Preceding unsigned comment added by you. Or maybe Nutta. 16:44, 18 July 2015 (EDT)
- I figured it was extremely obvious why that edit was a bad idea. We have absolutely no need to track that kind of information that way, and I didn't assume anyone would have trouble understanding that. Miles (talk) 16:54, 18 July 2015 (EDT)
- Acknowledged. On one hand it felt interesting to have, especially as a general place to put stages where character unlocking takes place, stuff like Reset Bomb Forest appearing in Smash Run and the like. On the other it's not really needed and that information can just be in the intro/other places like it is now. --Menshay (talk) 17:00, 18 July 2015 (EDT)
Miles!
I don't know if you remember me from the old SmashWiki but how are you dude? I was browsing through some of the old places I used to edit years ago and I ended up seeing that you were here-- and active no less! Sure is strange to see people from way back then still editing wikis but it's very, very cool nonetheless. I hope we can catch up! Baltro (talk) 00:25, 20 July 2015 (EDT)
- Well hi to you too! And yes, I'm still around here. One of the only people still active from way back in the day, but yeah. It's always a little surreal seeing stuff from your past, honestly. Miles (talk) 00:26, 20 July 2015 (EDT)
- That's honestly so cool. I try to stay around, at least on my own wiki projects, but seeing stuff left and right from over 7 years ago can be quite nostalgia-inducing. I remember you were always nice to me on SmashWiki, though of course that was years and years ago. It's very strange thinking of where I was in life back then compared to now. But I guess that's what you get when you choose to spend your time on a website where everything is cataloged and saved forever. Baltro (talk) 01:01, 20 July 2015 (EDT)
- Understandable, definitely. I've seen a lot change since when I got here, but it's more than a little surreal to think about just how long that's actually been. But I figure I still like Smash and still want to help make stuff neat and organized, so I ought to stick around, you know? The fun is still there for me, honestly. Miles (talk) 01:09, 20 July 2015 (EDT)
- Absolutely. I started on Wikia when I was only just barely a teenager. And now here I am having graduated college. I can't even remember why it was that I felt I had to leave SmashWiki. Parts of my memories on these projects are so clear and others are so foggy. Baltro (talk) 01:19, 20 July 2015 (EDT)

May you please un probate me? I've learned my lesson very well. M0nkledon4 (talk) 12:31, 20 July 2015 (EDT)

Could you move Start-pause button to Start button? No one's opposed, so... Nyargleblargle (Talk) 17:44, 22 July 2015 (EDT)

You said you wanted non-wikia, non-NIWA wikis to link to...
here you go. Not sure if this is exactly what you had in mind, but it can be said that it is not Wikia. Serpent King (talk) 22:14, 26 July 2015 (EDT)
- That wiki looks super inactive to me. Ideally we'd want independent, active, good-quality wikis for anything that isn't already covered in NIWA. That Metal Gear wiki doesn't really meet the standards I'm looking for. Miles (talk) 22:41, 26 July 2015 (EDT)
- Fair enough, just thought I'd throw that out there. Serpent King (talk) 23:02, 26 July 2015 (EDT)

Are you kidding me man?
Like, are you for real? That's more than mere resemblance, that is pretty much the color scheme right there. There's no way that you're unable to see it, or you're just stubborn...
(Your jokes edit is justified, thanks for that) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Smashedpotatoes (talk • contribs) 20:07, 28 July 2015 (EDT)
- In terms of what's a valid comparison, consider this. Real world animals: valid, given the context we're referencing them (characters that are animals). Baseball team: valid, because the official site says so. Comparisons to things like the White Mage are also valid because not only is Final Fantasy a massive name in the world of video games, it's also one with direct crossovers with series present in Smash. It's hardly reasonable to extend this to a character from a completely unrelated series of light novels/anime/whatever. Miles (talk) 20:10, 28 July 2015 (EDT)
Hm. Ok. That's reasonable. Well, I'll just leave it like you left it. But even so...you can't tell me you don't see any obvious resemblance. No hard feelings about this, I kinda got fired up there. Smashedpotatoes (talk) 20:13, 28 July 2015 (EDT)
- As I said, there is some resemblance. That just doesn't necessarily make it resemblance we need to note on a wiki like this one. Miles (talk) 20:16, 28 July 2015 (EDT)
Gotcha. Thanks Smashedpotatoes (talk) 20:17, 28 July 2015 (EDT)
Mario Maker amiibo
Figured I'd draw your attention to this (if you haven't seen this already). Aidan, Master of Speed and Aura 01:37, 30 July 2015 (EDT)
- I agree it's super-likely, but there's always the possibility of a lot of unannounced amiibo. Confirmation of which is needed, not just number. Miles (talk) 01:49, 30 July 2015 (EDT)
An Editor's Persistent Undos
There's an editor by the name of Yin10Dou persistently re-adding a trivia point on Pac-Man's page that you have told him doesn't belong to that page: the one regarding the trampoline glitch. After your warning he re-added the point, and I told him a second time that it doesn't belong to the page, and removed the point. He just readded the point a third time after two warnings. Could it be possible for something to be done about this? Archrelico (talk) 03:45, 30 July 2015 (EDT)
- Mention it on his talk page. Some new users may be unaware of the idea of checking the page history for why an edit was undone. If he persists after that as well, then other action will become appropriate. Miles (talk) 04:07, 30 July 2015 (EDT)
Lloyd Irving
Here, I hope this is satisfactory. My first time making these kind of edits on this wiki, just wanna make sure I did everything right
I also updated the DLC Page Mii fighter costume section to include sub sections of their own, so we don't have to edit the whole section to add new waves.
what do you think?
Ixbran (talk) 03:59, 30 July 2015 (EDT)
- Seems A-OK to me. I've got a couple minor touch-ups but overall it's pretty spot-on. Miles (talk) 04:03, 30 July 2015 (EDT)
- Thanks. I figure even though Lloyd comes from Tales of Symphonia, his universe should just be labeled as "Tales" due to the franchise having so many different installments. and if He is in, we might even get characters from other Tales games as Mii costumes. So I wanted to be prepared for that, just in case.

- Is it normal that im so excited/proud of these edits, im shaking a little? hah, again I think I take edits too personally, It makes me very happy that my edits/additions are approved of. Haaa ... I think I'm gonna go lie down now.
Also, one more bit of info, on the Llody picture submission on twitter, they posted a response, more Mii fighter costumes will be included in this upcoming DLC pack, not just the 6 we have now. Just thought to make a heads up.
Ixbran (talk) 04:10, 30 July 2015 (EDT)- Nothing wrong with being proud of an accomplishment, although that does sound a little bit excessive. And yes, more costumes were to be expected. The previous waves had 8 and we have 6 confirmed so far. Miles (talk) 04:12, 30 July 2015 (EDT)
- I think the shaking could also be from the fact i'm hungry, didn't eat much today. Had breakfast, and a small dinner. I don't think my body is happy i havn't eaten much, haaa. I wonder, do you think we might get a new Character along with the stage and mii costumes? Maybe costumes for the other characters?
Ixbran (talk) 04:14, 30 July 2015 (EDT)- Get some food, dude. More content is definitely possible, but not guaranteed or anything. I kind of doubt they'd drop more than stuff like Mii costumes without a Direct to announce it in. Miles (talk) 04:15, 30 July 2015 (EDT)

Well, the reason I ask is because I posted a topic there recently about possible DLC. Most of the response was, well, it's gamefaqs you cant really expect much from them in terms of positivity. But I thought it wouldnt hurt to run it by you, see what you think.
Heres my idea if your interested in reading it
Ixbran (talk) 04:41, 30 July 2015 (EDT)
How come your going to delete those higher quality images of the DLC costumes, for the sake of keeping those smaller low quality .jpeg's? I dont get it.
Ixbran (talk) 22:28, 30 July 2015 (EDT)
- The Smash site replaces the generic white background shots with the in-game action shots, so do we. Miles (talk) 22:30, 30 July 2015 (EDT)
Question
Why do we not use title case here? Seems like it would make sense. Serpent King (talk) 17:04, 30 July 2015 (EDT)
- Pretty much nothing on this wiki should use title case except actual game titles. Things like nav template headers, page titles, section headers, etc. should use first-letter-capitalized-only formatting. "Playable Character" implies it's a proper noun, which it is not. Miles (talk) 17:07, 30 July 2015 (EDT)
Question #2
Should I use Template:Art-wikipedia on the smashers who have wiki pages? Serpent King (talk) 21:22, 30 July 2015 (EDT)
- Debatable. Ask on a relevant talk page (preferably when we're not mid-update like right now). Miles (talk) 21:24, 30 July 2015 (EDT)
- Ok, sorry :X Serpent King (talk) 21:41, 30 July 2015 (EDT)
Why is it that outright vandalism gets less harsh penalties than stuff like inserting false information or excessive userspace editing.
usually, vandalism seems to be punished with a 3 day ban for the first punishment. Insertion of false information usually seems to result in a 2 week ban for the first punishment. And Excessive userspace editing is punished most often with semi-infinite probation for the first punishment. This is unfair because vandalism is by far the most severe of these offenses, yet it is punished the least harshly. This should be changed in my opinion. MarioIsTheBest (talk) 12:39, 31 July 2015 (EDT)
- The "false information" blocks you were seeing recently are for a user who has repeatedly re-added the same false information under different IP addresses. It's quite recognizable and the longer block reflects the fact that they are circumventing an existing block. Miles (talk) 12:44, 31 July 2015 (EDT)

Attack names
Why can't we try to think of fun names for all of the character's attacks? What's the big deal if they're unofficial? This wiki also provides information about things like character matchups and tier lists, all of which are also unofficial, so that's pretty hypocritical.67.85.126.89 17:08, 2 August 2015 (EDT)
- We've agreed that attack names stay official. We are not a fanbase. Serpent King (talk) 17:16, 2 August 2015 (EDT)
But you still didn't refute my point. Nintendo has never released their own matchup chart or tier list, it was created by the fanbase. Therefore all of that information is unofficial, and yet you have no issue displaying that kind of information. If you don't want anything unofficial to be on this wiki, that's fine, but you should be consistent. 67.85.126.89 17:56, 2 August 2015 (EDT)
- The matchup charts and tier lists come from the competitive scene, so it's fine (this wiki has 2 main sources: Smash itself and the competitive scene). Unofficial move names are made up by us, and are therefore disallowed. Serpent King (talk) 17:59, 2 August 2015 (EDT)
- I should probably rewrite SW:OFFICIAL to make this clearer, shouldn't I... Miles (talk) 18:04, 2 August 2015 (EDT)

Seriously, stop.
Sorry if I sound like a hypocrite, but there is no room for denial that Marth is overwhelmingly worse. You can't just ignore it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 45.37.25.25 (talk • contribs) 3:52, August 10, 2015
To Brian and Miles
You both need to stop.
Brian, stop overblowing Marth's nerfs, it is not like he is useless, and he did get buffed as the game went on, I see what you mean, but stop acting like he has no hope.
Miles, stop understating Marth's nerfs. You are being overly defensive about this character, I see where you are coming from, but he was nerfed severely and is not even high tier anymore.
I hope we can get this settled, but remember to stay neutral. You are entitled to your opinions, but this is a wiki.
—Preceding unsigned comment added by 45.37.25.25 (talk • contribs) 4:27, August 10, 2015
- Being encyclopedic is not being defensive, and I made no claims of him being high tier. Miles (talk) 16:31, 10 August 2015 (EDT)
You fail to acknowledge the severity of the nerfs he received and you're making it seem like the nerfs were not that hard.
—Preceding unsigned comment added by 45.37.25.25 (talk • contribs) 4.37, August 10, 2015
- You don't need to say "Marth was overwhelmingly nerfed" word-for-word to point out ways in which he was nerfed. I presented several of his most notable nerfs quite directly, such as overall laggier moves, slightly reduced range, and fewer confirmed grab followups. That's an encyclopedic presentation of the situation. We should be reporting the facts, not passing judgment. Miles (talk) 16:48, 10 August 2015 (EDT)
I no longer have respect for your vendetta.
You're getting offended by facts. His endlag was INDEED HORRENDOUS SINCE MELEE. His neutral IS abysmal and works against him. His punish game IS fragile. STOP. Again, you're entitled, but you seem to not know much about neutral facts. 45.37.25.25 19:31, 10 August 2015 (EDT)
- If you think "horrendous" or "abysmal" are factual terms, you should probably review your definition of the word fact. I'm not saying Marth isn't nerfed in SSB4; he is. I'm not saying he's a top competitive character; he's not. I'm saying we should present the changes to his moveset neutrally, and let people draw their own conclusions. Miles (talk) 19:35, 10 August 2015 (EDT)
- While I don't think this is yet a "vendetta", I do think you're being overly optimistic about your attributes overhaul "master plan". When discussing the attributes of characters in fighting games, there comes a point where true neutrality cannot be achieved without sacrificing completeness - in this case, the opinion of the collective community (though this is admittedly difficult to nail down without a widespread tier list).
- Maybe I could better understand what you're trying to achieve if you could do something like put together a top 3 "these pages are what I want to see" and/or "these pages are the worst offenders", because right now all I see from everyone right now (us included) is a bunch of knee-jerk reactions. Toomai Glittershine The Honcho 20:44, 10 August 2015 (EDT)
- Part of the difficulty is the lack of "good examples" to use as reference points, and my (rushed) attempts at editing earlier were to try to make the Marth (SSB4) page a good example. On the other hand, I can point to "bad examples" of un-encyclopedic tone from the SSB4 pages even with a cursory scan:
- Little Mac (SSB4): "Little Mac's grounded game is one to be feared", "horridly pathetic", "glaring flaws", "surprisingly blessed"
- Mega Man (SSB4): "Mega Man dives into Smash fully prepared", "somewhat gimmicky", "This can make Mega-Man frustrating for a new player", "absurdly easily"
- Wii Fit Trainer (SSB4): "Wii Fit Trainer's moveset is a confusing one", "her attack placements are awkward and her melee reach is sub-par", "Even worse is her grab range" (also somewhat out-of-date), "terribly long recharge time"
- Lucina (SSB4): "considered one of the worst", "clear disadvantage"

- I don't get it. Read the first paragraph in order to understand Toomai's point. 45.37.25.25 21:11, 10 August 2015 (EDT)
Yea, I keep forgetting to edit the cringeworthy Link page. 45.37.25.25 17:48, 13 August 2015 (EDT) Toomai, thank you. 45.37.25.25 20:54, 10 August 2015 (EDT)
So how about Olimar (SSBB)? I think that's a very good example of presenting both the positive and negative facts to end with the correct conclusion that Olimar is a very good character. Toomai Glittershine The Orchestral 22:59, 13 August 2015 (EDT)
- It does a much better job than most, with only a few questionable wording choices ("abysmal", "New players will struggle with his unusual mechanics"). I would argue it's a bit more verbose than necessary but that's less of an issue in my mind. Miles (talk) 23:03, 13 August 2015 (EDT)
'He'
Do you ever use 'he' as a gender-neutral pronoun (that's beyond sexist)? - Drilly Dilly (talk) 19:58, 10 August 2015 (EDT)
- Nope. Singular they is the standard I hold myself and others to, and it's been in use for 600+ years. Miles (talk) 20:00, 10 August 2015 (EDT)
- Understood. I'm just glad enough you do the right thing at least use 'they' and not 'he' (that's very sexist, tbh). - Drilly Dilly (talk) 21:17, 10 August 2015 (EDT)
User subpages
just wanted to run by and make sure this is allowed to be a thing? I recently made a User Subpage for my replay videos, and just wanted to double check and make sure this was okay.
Ixbran (talk) 00:20, 11 August 2015 (EDT)
- It's fine. I have many subpages. Serpent King (talk) 00:24, 11 August 2015 (EDT)
- Ahh, alrighty then, thanks. Also, if you have any tips on getting better, feel free to give me a comment on my replay's talkpage.

Let me ask you this
Been meaning to bring this up, but there's a trivia point here, here, and here that says that Lucina was the first one to be upgraded to playable, then the Doc, and then Pittoo. Now, to my understanding:
- The roster was decided very early in (if not at the beginning of) development.
- That's the order they were revealed on the official site.
My question is where's the proof that says that's the same order in which they were upgraded to playable. Aidan, Master of Speed and Aura 15:52, 11 August 2015 (EDT)
- Doesn't seem to have any basis. Should be removed. Miles (talk) 18:20, 11 August 2015 (EDT)
- On it. Aidan, Master of Speed and Aura 18:23, 11 August 2015 (EDT)
Regarding the Mii's
I need to tell you right now that the default images for the Miis, the individual ones, did not come from any press kit. The individual Mii images came from the image of them grouped together, and I just separated them. Because the Brawler is overlapping the Gunner and Swordfighter, I had to go in and take parts of their individual renders from the reveal video, and use them to fill in the parts that now had holes after being taken out from behind the brawler. The newer versions I've uploaded over them are official renders, taken straight from the games data and are of higher quality. Trust me when I say it is best to go with those. And I even went in and added the shadows from the older renders, to the newer ones, so they are just like the other character renders.
Ixbran (talk) 16:03, 11 August 2015 (EDT)
- Yeah I'm probably overreacting. I just wanted to make sure we weren't losing anything of value in the switch. The group art absolutely should not be changed, though. Miles (talk) 18:20, 11 August 2015 (EDT)
- You're fine hon, really. I was just confused as to why you were insistent on using lower quality renders over better ones, all because they had shadows. And even continued to switch back to them after I added the shadows to the bigger renders. Thats why I came to talk to you about it, to explain the situation to you better. And its fine, we all have days where we over react to things like that, I've done it too.

Slowed Dashing in SSB4
In Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, I think I discovered that characters (I did this with Dr. Mario) can dash, but can also slow down their dash speed a bit while doing so. I'm not sure how noticeable or how useful this is in-game, but... should this be a new page? I also don't even know if this is possible to do in the previous games.
I found out about this when I was dashing then proceeded to tilt the control stick diagonally downward, (or downward enough to where I was still running) and I would notice the character slowing down. I don't know if characters can revert to their normal speed after doing this. This can even be used to run in place near a ledge.

Favorite?
Don't be bothered, but what's your favorite game in the franchise (including mods, such as Brawl-)? - Drilly Dilly (talk) 17:05, 15 August 2015 (EDT)
- I prefer SSB4 the most. 64 is the only one I don't really enjoy that much, just because it feels so dated in hindsight, combined with the fact that I started with Melee. I have specific things I prefer and miss from Melee and Brawl but overall prefer SSB4. (I don't play mods of Smash games.) Miles (talk) 17:08, 15 August 2015 (EDT)
- Reasons? - Drilly Dilly (talk) 17:17, 15 August 2015 (EDT)
- 64's lower stage and character counts are a drawback. SSB4 mostly provides what I want out of a Smash game quite well, although I do miss a handful of things from previous games like character-specific target levels, the playstyles of certain cut veterans (Wolf, Snake), and certain stages that haven't returned (Fourside, Pirate Ship). Creating tournament series pages
I want to create a page for the Double Vegas Down Attack series, but I'm not sure if it's a good idea to name the page "Double Vegas Down Attack (tournament series)" or simply "DVDA (tournament series)", since that's how they tag all events. If we go with "DVDA (tournament series)", the summary would star like this:
- The DVDA, oficially Double Vegas Down Attack, is a...
or
- The Double Vegas Down Attack, or simply DVDA, is a...
My concern comes from the effort to list all events on the template navigation and the eventual tournament series page. They started as "Double Vegas Down A" and now are "Double Vegas Down Attack", but it was always called "DVDA" anyway. I think it would be best if we rename each event as "DVDA number" and on the intro paragraph we name the event correctly, like each EVO edition.
- DVDA 5, officially Double Vegas Down Attack #5: Golden Fighting Rings, was the...
So, what do you think? PFFP (talk) 22:34, 15 August 2015 (EDT)
- I don't have a particular opinion on the subject outside of strongly advising beginning the article with "The". I suggest you ask Jamal, as he seems to be more on top of such things. Miles (talk) 22:43, 15 August 2015 (EDT)
Thank you for, uh, answering my question.
I was just wondering if the Better Nerf Greninja meme was something I could keep on there, thank you for clarifying. 45.37.25.25 11:19, 17 August 2015 (EDT)

The protection of the DLC pages.
I looked in the Roy protection log, but I was lost and I don't know what kind of protection you put on it, as well as the other DLC characters. Can you tell me whether they are protected or semi-protected? If so, why are they? Ganonmew (talk) 18:39, 19 August 2015 (EDT)
