I'm not even kidding, EVO is known by all those names. The EVO staff used to name their events until 2009 as EVO2k4, 2k5, 2k6, etc. They also refer to it as simple "Evolution" and that's how they name it on the SRK wiki. Then there's the way we all call it today (EVO + year) and the kinda official names of said year, like "EVO Workd Finals 2010". [[User:PFFP|PFFP]] ([[User talk:PFFP|talk]]) 20:29, 5 August 2015 (EDT)

Naming EVO

I think the EVO series page is the best page to talk about this, but EVO 2007 might be the best example. So, EVO has many names, and many are officially used by the staff itself. What do we do with all those names? Here's EVO 2007 situation:

  • EVO World 2007
  • Evolution 2007
  • EVO2k7
  • EVO 2007
  • Evolution Championship Series WORLD 2007

I'm not even kidding, EVO is known by all those names. The EVO staff used to name their events until 2009 as EVO2k4, 2k5, 2k6, etc. They also refer to it as simple "Evolution" and that's how they name it on the SRK wiki. Then there's the way we all call it today (EVO + year) and the kinda official names of said year, like "EVO Workd Finals 2010". PFFP (talk) 20:29, 5 August 2015 (EDT)

Do you guys think it would be right to name the page like Wikipedia names the Olympics?
  • "The 2016 Summer Olympics"
  • "Officially known as the Games of the XXXI Olympiad"
  • "Commonly known as Rio 2016"
