As a Poké Ball Pokémon
Dedenne appears in Super Smash Bros. 4 as a Poké Ball Pokémon. When summoned, it hovers in the air and spins electricity around itself. The attack hits multiple times, and its final hit inflicts medium knockback. It is similar in its way of attacking to Robin's Arcthunder projectile upon hitting a target, but with the electric charge spinning rather than being stationary.
As a trophy
Dedenne's trophy is randomly available in both versions. In Super Smash Bros. for Wii U it is part of the The Beginning of Pokémon X & Pokémon Y Trophy Box.
- Dedenne
This Electric/Fairy-type Pokémon's round shape and antennae-like whiskers make it very distinctive. It has a habit of sticking its tail into sockets to absorb electricity. Its Discharge attack shoots off in four directions, passing through obstacles and stunning any fighters it hits along the way.

Origin
Dedenne is an Electric/Fairy-type Pokémon introduced in Generation VI, one of the many new Pokémon demonstrating the new Fairy type. Despite looking similar to Pikachu it is not related to it, nor it has any evolutionary relatives.
Discharge is an Electric-type special move with 80 base power, 100% accuracy and a 30% chance of inflicting the Paralysis status on its targets. Dedenne can learn it at level 50.
