- The contents of the accidentally released 1.0.8 update to SSBU are datamined, confirming Roy and Ryu as downloadable content, correlating with previous datamining of the 1.0.6 update to SSB3DS. Other new content confirmed includes Suzaku Castle and Dream Land (64) as new stages in the Wii U version, and additional Mii Fighter costumes.

- At Smash of Ages 2015, the first West Coast Smash 64 national since GENESIS 2, SuPeRbOoMfAn, tacos, and Mariguas take 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in singles, respectively, and SuPeRbOoMfAn & JaimeHR win doubles.
