Munchlax (ゴンベ, Gonbe) is a fictional creature in the Pokémon franchise. Its evolution, Snorlax, has also appeared in all four Super Smash Bros. series games. Munchlax is voiced by Jimmy Zoppi.

Munchlax is one of the Pokémon that appears out of a Poké Ball. If there aren't any items around for it to gobble up, Munchlax is effectively useless, much like Goldeen.

Origin
Munchlax is the baby form of Snorlax, and was the very first Generation IV Pokémon ever publicly revealed. Its "move" in Brawl, Pickup, is one of its possible abilities in the Pokémon games: a Pokémon with it might find an item after a battle, and, since Generation V, can pick up items discarded by other Pokémon during a battle.
