Hitmonlee (サワムラー, Sawamurā, Sawamular) is a fictional creature in the Pokémon media franchise. It is a Fighting-type Pokémon (#106 in the National Pokédex) that evolves from Tyrogue since the series' second generation. Hitmonlee is a Pokémon known for it's long, springlike legs that allow it to kick rapidly from a distance. In Smash Bros., Hitmonlee uses Jump Kick, a Fighting-type move that damages the user if missed.
In Super Smash Bros.
As a Poké Ball Pokémon
Hitmonlee appears as a Pokémon that comes out of a Poké Ball in Super Smash Bros. Hitmonlee uses Jump Kick as its attack. Upon appearance, Hitmonlee will remain motionless for several frames, then it will extend its leg and jump in the air at a randomly decided opponent target to inflict heavy damage and knockback if it connects. Hitmonlee moves in an upside-down 'V' shape, covering a large area. Hitmonlee's attack cannot harm the summoner.
Hitmonlee was seemingly replaced by Scizor in Super Smash Bros. Melee, as they have similar attack fashions and effects.
In Super Smash Bros. 4
Hitmonlee appears as a trophy in at least Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS.
