Try to keep a maximum of three items on this list at once. A fourth is okay, but five is out of the question.
Also, watch the <noinclude> on the last item. It needs to stay attached to the last item, with no spacing.
Finally, note some ground rules for whether new-game information is newsworthy:
- Playable character, stage, and item reveals are.
- New modes probably are; old modes probably not.
- Assist character reveals usually are (that is, Assist Trophies and Pokémon).
- New elements of previously known things generally are not.

- Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS is officially released in Japan. In addition, Platinum-level Club Nintendo members have received a special version of the Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS demo, which will be released publicly on the 19th.

Characters not officially announced that have been seen so far in gameplay footage include veterans Dr. Mario, Wario, Ganondorf, Falco, Ness, Jigglypuff, Mr. Game & Watch, and R.O.B., and newcomers Bowser Jr., Dark Pit and Duck Hunt. Many other game elements are also seen for the first time.

- A limited demo of Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS is made available on the Japanese eShop. A previously unrevealed stage, PictoChat 2, is visible on the stage select screen but unavailable in the demo.
