| chaos emeralds are mystical gemstones that contain unlimited power and if some body manages to obtain all seven of them they will gain unlimited power and be UNSTOPPABLE!!!! - Shadow the hedgehog super mario bros z. The chaos emeralds are seen floating around sonic right before he transforms into super sonic this final smash can last 15 seconds in normal time it can be longer if somebody uses the timer item. After the final smash sonic will turn blue again and use chaos control to warp them all over smash world and fall to the ground nobody can grab the emeralds while sonic is using them in his final smash. But in other games if a person with a heart of pure evil uses the power of the seven emeralds their power will turn dark and bring nothing but hatred to the world and cause pure chaos that is how the emeralds were named the chaos emeralds
