- Dedenne is confirmed to appear in a non-playable capacity in Super Smash Bros. 4.

- Waluigi is confirmed to return as an Assist Trophy in Super Smash Bros. 4.

- Nintendo announces the termination of all online software services for all DS and Wii games on May 20th 2014. This means Brawl's wifi modes will no longer function on this date.

- Diddy Kong is confirmed to return in Super Smash Bros. 4, along with the Banana Peel.
