Though he had participated in many tournaments in Japan, such as the Numabura series, his first tournament win was at Apex 2012, the largest Brawl tournament of all time, where he placed first in both singles and doubles with his twin brother Kakera. He returned in an effort to defend his title at Apex 2013, though he placed 3rd in singles, and lost to eventual champions Nairo and ADHD in doubles.
