Electric Ness is a glitch among the earliest discovered in Super Smash Bros. Melee. This glitch will cause Ness to be covered by electric sparks. This glitch will end when Ness dies, uses PK Thunder, uses his shield, or when Ness uses PSI Magnet.
Enemy Method
- Jump in the air and perform a PK Thunder.
- Land on the ground while still in the PK Thunder animation.
- Get hit by a move that flinches.
- Ness will now be surrounded by sparks until he dies, shields, or performs PK Thunder again.
Ness-only Method
- Make Ness hit the top of his head straight on with his own PK Thunder. Ness should not launch.
- Ness should now have the sparks.
Note: This method does not always work, and it has been theorized that the Yoyo Glitch must be performed first.
Unconfirmed alternative methods
- Grabbing Ness while he is using PK Thunder.
- Hit Ness in midair while he is using PK Thunder.
