The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters. |
When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted. |

A 12 character battle (often abbreviated to 12cb) is an arbitrary gamemode mostly played in the original Super Smash Bros. in which both players have access to every character in the roster once and battle until their last character.
12 character battles generally last 50-90 minutes
Ruleset
This is the most popular ruleset as popularized by Isai:
- First character is blind picked for both players
- Each character has 5 stocks
- Loser of each game picks next stage
- If loser changes stage, winner is given a chance to switch to any remaining character(s)
Trivia
- Many players prefer 12 character battles to main vs main battles as they believe it is a more accurate representation of who the better player is based on their character versatility and matchup knowledge.
