Overview

The move can come out in one frame without any delay. It has set knockback and hitstun and can be used to perform an effective edgeguarding technique called the Shine spike, where Fox can semi-spike an opponent who is off the stage with his reflector. The Reflector can be followed up with other moves such as an nair, up tilts, up smash, or another shine. Fox can also jump cancel the shine to avoid ending lag, giving him the ability to waveshine, wavedashing out of a shine.
