| The Skill parameter has been removed from Smasher infoboxes, and in its place are the new "Best historical ranking" and "Best tournament result" parameters. SmashWiki needs help adding these new parameters to Smasher infoboxes, refer to the guidelines here for what should be included in these new parameters. |
| When adding results to Smasher pages, include each tournament's entrant number in addition to the player's placement, and use the {{Trn}} template with the matching game specified. Please also fix old results on Smasher pages that do not abide to this standard. Refer to our Smasher article guidelines to see how results tables should be formatted. |

Preview Button[edit]
When editing, use the preview button to avoid making multiple unnecessary edits to the same page. In addition, something like a "Characters that should be in SSB4 or w/e" forum can easily be converted into a userpage subpage. Use a word document so that instead of adding 2-3 characters at a time, you can add 10 or something. MegaTron1XD

Two things[edit]
Read our policy on handing reverts. If someone reverts your edit, discuss it on the talk page, don't undo the revert with no explanation.
Second, read our notability policy before tagging any smasher articles. Someone can be notable enough for a smasher article here via significant contributions to the Smash community. Competitive success is not the only criterion. Omega Tyrant
