This article is about sleep effect caused by certain attacks. For the move called Sleep on the website for the original Super Smash Bros., see Rest.

There are a few attacks in the Smash Bros. series that cause the sleep effect. Characters hit by such attacks will be put to sleep instead of taking knockback. If the target is already asleep, the length of the effect will not be increased or reset.
