| Yeta is an NPC that is featured in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. She appears in Super Smash Bros. Brawl as a trophy.

| ==Character description==
| |
| Yeta is one of two creatures based on the stereotypical yeti or abominable snowman known to exist in the Twilight Princess incarnation of the land of Hyrule, the other being her burlier and boisterous but daft-looking husband Yeto. While Yeto himself closely resembles the perceived image of a yeti and is enormous, Yeta is roughly half of Yeto's size (and thus is around Link's size) and seems to have a rather different, armless appearance. She is not actually armless, however; in all instances she is seen in the game, she is draped in a thick sleeveless sweater with diamond patterns. The two yetis are sentient, good-hearted, and have the ability to speak, though Yeto is somewhat challenged in this last area.
| |
| | |
| Yeto and Yeta live in the wintry Peak province in Hyrule, and consider their home to be an ancient, apparently once-militaristic temple named Snowpeak Ruins. The yetis enjoy a recreational pastime in the form of sledding down the glacial trail that connects Snowpeak Ruins with the rest of Hyrule. They have refurbished some rooms of the temple to make them more homely as living quarters, and they appear to not be bothered by the lumbering, patrolling ice monsters that inhabit the rest of the temple.

| | |
| In the middle of the story of Twilight Princess, an artifact named the Mirror of Twilight is broken into shards that fly off into various directions in Hyrule, which Link and Midna must now collect. One piece lands in the area and is picked up by Yeta for keeping, but she develops a dangerous obsession with looking at herself in the mirror along with a terrible cold. Link and Midna travel to Snowpeak Ruins, acquaint themselves with the yetis, and battle their way through the labyrinthine locale in search of the ominous artifact piece, unaware at first that it is in Yeta's possession.
| |
| | |
| It is too late, however, when the mirror shard possesses Yeta and transforms her into a terrifying Twilit Ice Mass named Blizzeta, whom Link must engage as the dungeon's boss. Using a recently acquired Ball and Chain weapon, Link defeats Blizzeta and breaks the curse, acquiring the Mirror piece and saving Yeta, who then comes to realize that true beauty is not in the face in the mirror, but in the eyes of a person like her husband.
| |
| | |
| Following their encounter, Yeta and Yeto become good friends with Link and allow him to challenge them in sledding races down Peak Province, one at a time. After Link wins a race against Yeto, he can speak to Yeta to race her next, but as a sledder she is far more accomplished than her husband, and she takes advantage of a large natural shortcut. Link can only win by using the same shortcut in front of her. If Link wins, Yeta awards Link with a Piece of Heart.

| The wife of Yeto. She is a yeti who lives in the Snowpeak Ruins. In her illness, which was caused by the magic of a Twilight Mirror shard, Yeta was unable to leave her house. Although usually a kind lady, she became possessed by the mirror and was transformed into the great, icy Blizzeta. Yeta is also quite an accomplished sledder.
