I'm kinda an SSBB newb but still practicing (been playing for years, only recently decided to try my hand at "competitive" play). I'm more into SSBB because I'm a big fan of Nintendo games and lore, and also gaming communities.

*Download [http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Riivolution Riivolution] and install via either letterbomb or Homebrew Channel
*Put the riivolution folder in the root of your SD card
*Create a folder in the root of the SD card titled "brawlmods". Open it, and create a folder and title it "music". Open that, and create a final folder titled "strm".
*Download a BRSTM converter (I used [http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=241578& BCSM-GUI])
*Use your BRSTM converter to convert your desired mp3 files into brstm files, then choose which songs they will replace in the game (you cannot add songs, only replace the ones already there)
**If you want, you can modify the mp3s using sound editing software like [http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ Audacity] or [http://www.nch.com.au/wavepad/index.html Wavepad]
*Copy the brstm files to the strm (brawlmods>music>strm) folder (if you're adding a lot of songs, you'll need a lot of space on your SD card. I recommend at least 2 free GBs)
*Put the SD card in the Wii and boot SSBB through Riivolution
*Go to the "My Music" option under sound settings and adjust the songs to play on stages to the ones that were replaced
If anything seems unclear or if you have any questions, lemme know on my talk page or on IRC. :)

(Note: this list is a working progress. Like I mentioned before, tracks can't be added, just replaced. The amount of tracks that the stage originally has is the amount I can add. Suggestions quite welcome!)

Hi. This is my userpage. Forgive me if it looks a bit crude ATM, I'm not good with wiki stuffs.

I'm kinda an SSBB newb but still practicing (been playing for years, only recently decided to try my hand at "competitive" play). I'm more into SSBB because I'm a big fan of Nintendo games and lore, and also gaming communities.

How to Add Custom Music to SSBB

  • Download Riivolution and install via either letterbomb or Homebrew Channel
  • Put the riivolution folder in the root of your SD card
  • Create a folder in the root of the SD card titled "brawlmods". Open it, and create a folder and title it "music". Open that, and create a final folder titled "strm".
  • Download a BRSTM converter (I used BCSM-GUI)
  • Use your BRSTM converter to convert your desired mp3 files into brstm files, then choose which songs they will replace in the game (you cannot add songs, only replace the ones already there)
    • If you want, you can modify the mp3s using sound editing software like Audacity or Wavepad
  • Copy the brstm files to the strm (brawlmods>music>strm) folder (if you're adding a lot of songs, you'll need a lot of space on your SD card. I recommend at least 2 free GBs)
  • Put the SD card in the Wii and boot SSBB through Riivolution
  • Go to the "My Music" option under sound settings and adjust the songs to play on stages to the ones that were replaced

If anything seems unclear or if you have any questions, lemme know on my talk page or on IRC. :)
