Levels on the Adventure Map are displayed by one of three icons. One is a flashing red circle, indicating that the level has not yet been completed. Another is a flag, showing that the player has completed the level, but not all items have been retrieved from that level. The last icon is a flashing crown, proving that the player has completed a level to a 100% standard.

Underneath the Adventure Map is a small options menu, offering three choices. One is ''Stickers'', a menu that allows the player to apply stickers to their characters, ''Save'', the main way to save progress in the Subspace Emissary, the only alternative being the usage of a [[Save Point]] in [[The Great Maze]]. The final option is ''Quit'', allowing players to leave the Subspace Emissary mode.
