Piplup's second evolution is Prinplup, who eventually evolves into Empoleon. In the anime, Dawn chose Piplup as her starter Pokémon after she rescued it from a group of giant Ariados. Piplup (ポッチャマ, Potchama, Pochama) is a fictional creature in the Pokémon media franchise.
Creature description
Piplup is one of the three starter Pokémon that a trainer can recieve from Professor Rowan in Pokémon Diamond & Pearl. Piplup resembles a small blue bipedal penguin. Piplup's second evolution is Prinplup, who eventually evolves into Empoleon. In the anime, Dawn chose Piplup as her starter Pokémon after she rescued it from a group of giant Ariados.
