#Long version: The stage is Final Destination. The one item that's on is the Smash Ball. One shows up. Link and Mario go for it. Link finally breaks it with a spin attack. Mario tries to run away as Link gets closer. Finally, Link uses Triforce Slash. The final strike knocks Mario away. Even if Mario got the Smash Ball, Link could have dodged the fiery attack with a great jump and a spin attack, and another Smash Ball is bound to show up later, or Link could use his attacks.
