 According to the [http://www.smashbros.com DOJO!], Mr. Game & Watch has no sense of right and wrong, so it is possible that he was willingly working for the Subspace Army, and one of the 5 piloting the Halberd was the genuine Mr. Game & Watch. This would also explain why his trophy was obtainable after Duon's defeat, instead of being stored seperatly from the duplicates.
