Tetra appeared in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker as a respected pirate of the Great Sea. After getting attacked by the Helmaroc King, she is dropped onto Link's home island on his birthday. Link sets out with her to fight the new evil. Later in the game, Tetra was revealed to actually be Zelda. During the final battle, Zelda helps by slowing down Ganondorf with the Light Arrows she borrows from Link. This is the second time a Zelda participates in a battle in the series, and she plays a more active role than the Zelda of Ocarina of Time.
In The Phantom Hourglass, Tetra, sailing with Link, was kidnapped. Link goes on another adventure to rescue her.
In the Super Smash Bros. series
Tetra has a trophy in Brawl. It can be collected by playing Coin Launcher, collecting in the Subspace Emissary, or through random pickup in Boss Battles or All-Star Mode.
Also, when the disk was hacked, Toon Zelda/Sheik(Possiblely Tetra) was revealed as a partially completed character.
