Donkey Kong is a 1981 arcade game where Mario and Donkey Kong made their first appearances. In it, Donkey Kong is trashing a construction site and stealing a girl (not Princess Peach). Mario has to stop D.K. and save her. You start at 25 meters above the surface, then move to 50 meters, and finally 75 meters with each one increasing in difficulty.
